How I approach software

I approach software as a complete system: the interface people use, the workflows behind it, the integrations connecting it to other platforms, the data moving through it, and the infrastructure that keeps it running.

The specific tools depend on the problem. The goal is consistent: software that is maintainable, understandable, reliable, and useful in real operations.

Background & Education

Engineering Journey

Built on rigorous engineering education and more than a decade of progressive professional experience.

I began my technical education in Poland at a five-year technical secondary school, combining general academic education with specialized technical training and culminating in the Matura examination.

I then went through Poland's two-cycle university engineering education: the Inżynier (Bachelor of Engineering) degree at Warsaw University of Technology, followed by the Magister Inżynier (MSc / MEng equivalent) at AGH University of Krakow — an advanced engineering qualification that combines strong theoretical foundations with practical technical education.

That foundation developed into more than a decade of professional engineering experience, progressing from hands-on implementation to independent engineering, architecture, technical leadership, optimization, and mentoring.

Polish Engineering Foundation

My technical foundation comes from Poland's engineering-focused education system, beginning with specialized technical secondary education and continuing through both cycles of university engineering study — the Inżynier degree at Warsaw University of Technology, then the Magister Inżynier at AGH University of Krakow. The curriculum combined mathematics, computer science fundamentals, systems thinking, and practical engineering — foundations that continue to influence how I approach software architecture and problem solving today.

  • Marian Rejewski, Jerzy Różycki & Henryk Zygalski — Mathematicians at the Polish Cipher Bureau. Rejewski reconstructed the German military Enigma machine in late 1932, and the three developed techniques for decrypting its ciphers. Source
  • Jan Czochralski — Invented the Czochralski method of growing single crystals, still used to produce the monocrystalline silicon behind semiconductor devices. Source
  • Stefan Banach — One of the founders of modern functional analysis; Banach spaces are named after him. Source
  • Maria Skłodowska-Curie — The only person to win Nobel Prizes in two different sciences — Physics in 1903 and Chemistry in 1911. Source
